Spiritual Mentoring
A journey of discovery, understanding and spiritual exploration.
What does it mean to be spiritual? What do we understand about the soul, consciousness and the nature of existence? How have different traditions throughout history approached these questions, and what might we learn from exploring them ourselves?
Maybe you've been interested in spirituality for years. Perhaps you've recently found yourself asking questions about life, death, consciousness or something beyond the everyday. Or maybe you are curious about the many ideas and traditions that have shaped our understanding of spirituality.
Wherever that curiosity begins, Spiritual Mentoring offers an opportunity to explore it more deeply.
Through a series of individual sessions, we'll explore spiritual ideas, philosophical traditions and contemplative practices, developing knowledge and understanding along the way.
This is an opportunity to learn, question, reflect and develop your own perspective, with guidance and support throughout.
Session duration: 75 minutes
Session fee: £66
Six Session Program: £300 (Full Price £396)

Spirituality is an enormous subject, with an extraordinary breadth of traditions, teachings and perspectives to discover.
From the ancient wisdom of Taoism and Buddhism to Western philosophy, mysticism, Gnosticism and modern Spiritualism, there are countless ways in which humanity has attempted to understand the nature of existence and our place within it.
Rather than following a rigid syllabus, the mentoring programme provides a framework for exploring some of these subjects while allowing room for your own interests and questions to shape the experience.
We'll introduce ideas, examine different perspectives, consider their origins and teachings, and explore how they might relate to our own understanding of life.
My approach draws upon my own studies, interests and experiences, alongside wider spiritual and philosophical thought. I'll bring material, resources and perspectives into our discussions, but this is never about asking you to accept a particular belief or follow a prescribed path.
I believe curiosity and independent thought are at the heart of genuine spiritual development.
-
The mentoring programme is built around six broad areas of exploration.
01. Understanding Spirituality
What do we actually mean when we talk about spirituality? We'll explore the relationship between spirituality, religion, faith and personal experience, considering how our beliefs develop and what it means to embark upon a spiritual journey.
02. Spiritual Traditions and Philosophy
An introduction to different spiritual and philosophical traditions, including Spiritualism, Taoism, Buddhism, mysticism and Gnosticism. We'll explore their origins, central teachings and differing approaches to understanding the world.
03. The Inner World
An exploration of consciousness, awareness, the self and our inner experience. We'll consider meditation, contemplation and the relationship between our thoughts, perceptions and understanding of ourselves.
04. The Soul and Existence
Some of the biggest questions surrounding human existence. What is the soul? What do different traditions teach about consciousness, death and the possibility of an afterlife? We'll explore different perspectives and the philosophical questions they raise.
05. Developing a Spiritual Practice
Exploring how spiritual understanding can become part of everyday life. We'll consider meditation, mindfulness, reflection and contemplative practices, and look at ways to develop a personal approach that feels meaningful.
06. Integration and Personal Understanding
Bringing together the ideas, questions and experiences explored throughout the programme. We'll reflect on how your understanding has developed, consider what has resonated with you and identify areas you'd like to explore further.
-
The programme consists of six individual mentoring sessions, each lasting 75 minutes.
Sessions are relaxed, conversational and supported by a structured theme. We'll introduce the subject, explore relevant ideas and teachings, discuss different perspectives and make time for questions and personal reflection.
You'll also have opportunities to continue exploring between sessions through suggested reading, resources and reflective exercises.
Although the programme follows a six-part framework, it isn't a rigid course. Everyone approaches spirituality differently, and we'll make room for your interests, questions and existing knowledge.
You don't need any previous experience or particular religious or spiritual beliefs. An open mind and a willingness to explore are all that's required.
-
Spiritual Mentoring is for people who want to develop their understanding of spirituality beyond simply reading an occasional article or watching a video.
It might be right for you if:
You're curious about spirituality but aren't sure where to begin.
You want to understand different spiritual and philosophical traditions.
You're exploring your own beliefs and want to consider different perspectives.
You're interested in consciousness, the soul, existence or life after death.
You'd like to develop a personal meditation or spiritual practice.
You enjoy thoughtful discussion and want the opportunity to explore subjects in greater depth.
You don't have to identify as spiritual, follow a particular tradition or arrive with a set of beliefs. This is a space for exploration, not conversion.
-
I have a longstanding interest in spirituality, philosophy and the questions surrounding the human condition. My own exploration has taken me through a variety of traditions and schools of thought, from Spiritualism and Eastern philosophy to mysticism and the wider philosophical traditions.
I'm not interested in presenting one particular worldview as the answer. In fact, I think there is enormous value in being willing to question what we think we know, consider ideas that challenge our existing perspectives and remain open to learning.
My role as a mentor is to share knowledge, introduce ideas, encourage discussion and help you develop your own understanding.
You won't be told what to believe. You'll be encouraged to think, question and explore.
-
You don't need to have all the questions figured out before you begin. You don't even need to know exactly what you're looking for.
Sometimes the first step is simply being curious enough to explore.
